Felted Sugar Skulls in Progress

Join us this October to learn the craft of Needle Felting. Needle felting is a popular fiber craft in which wool roving is sculpted, using a special barbed needle to stab it into shape. Using a few simple techniques you can create many different pieces. In this class Caitlin Nolan will teach you how to create and decorate your own Calavera on a felt backing to frame and take home to place on your Day of the Dead altar. The class is $15 and all materials are provided.

Caitlin Nolan is a Portland-based theatre artist and a mostly self-taught practitioner of textile arts. She loves to share her enthusiasm for knitting, crocheting, and needle felting with the uninitiated and believes that through some trial and error, anyone who wants to can master these fun and rewarding crafts.

Space is limited so reserve your spot soon. Contact Estela Robinson at estela@milagro.org with questions.
