The beloved story of romance and revolution, once again presented in Spanish, makes its triumphant return to Milagro Theatre this Spring! Follow the unlikely friendship between a hopeless-romantic postman, Mario, and the renowned Nobel-Prize-winning poet, Pablo Neruda, during the transformative era of 1970s Chile. With Neruda’s mentorship, the tongue-tied Mario strives to win over the heart of the daughter of a local innkeeper, Beatriz Gonzalez, much to the discontent of her mother, Rosa Gonzalez. With the 1973 Chilean coup d’état to set the scene, this incredible journey of love through the dazzling poetry of Pablo Neruda is not one to be missed.
