Cuando el adolescente Ángelo Méndez decide irse de su hogar por miedo a decepcionar a su padre homofóbico, encuentra un mundo para el que no estaba preparado en un albergue para indigentes LGBTQ, en Los Angeles. Allí conoce a un maestro de poesía que le ayuda a encontrar su propia voz y a otro adolescente que inesperadamente lo introduce a los asuntos del amor.

El trabajo de Emilio Rodriguez ha sido presentado en varios festivales, incluyendo el primer Latino Theatre Common’s Carnaval of New Works (Swimming While Drowning), el Activate Midwest Festival at Western Michigan University (Spin), y el Austin Latino New Play Festival (Mamacita and the Negrito). Emilio fue elegido por el prestigioso Djerassi Artist Residency Program y el recién fundado Mitten Lab en Traverse City, Michigan, los cuales le otorgaron una beca para su investigación artística. Además, Emilio fue uno de los finalistas para el premio de escritura de teatro de la Association for Theatre in Higher Education’s Excellence en el 2015 y uno de los finalistas en el 2016 para la Playwright’s Center Many Voices Fellowship.
Francisco García es un director, dramaturgo y actor. Recientemente, él dirigió Broken Promises de Olga Sanchez, con Teatro Milagro, y ha trabajado ampliamente con estudiantes de primaria, secuandaria y universidad en el desarrollo de producciones originales. En 2012-2013, él trabajó como dramaturgo invitado en el CalArts’ Community Arts Partnership Program, donde su adaptación de Fuente Ovejuna fue presentada en el REDCAT Theatre, ubicado en el Walt Disney Concert Hall. En el 2015, escribió Odessa, una adaptación de La Odisea de Homero, para el programa de educación de Profile Theatre, presentada en colaboración con Beaumont Middle School. Francisco es miembro de Actor’s Equity y SAG/AFTRA, y su última aparición en el escenario fue en el rol de Romeo en Romeo y Julieta en el Shakespeare Center de Los Angeles y en el estreno mundial de la obra de José Casas All Brown All Chingon en el Hudson Theatre. Francisco recibió su bachillerato de la Portland State University y su maestría de Cal State University, en Los Angeles.
