Board member Ozzie and Development Assistant Emily turn things upside down at the kick-off party for this year’s Willamette Week Give!Guide |
Miracle Theatre Group, aka “Milagro”, couldn’t be more excited to announce its debut in Willamette Week’s annual Give!Guide with a special offer: The first 100 donors to contribute to Milagro via the Give!Guide will receive a $10 gift certificate to Montage Restaurant. Furthermore, all donors to Milagro will be entered into a drawing for one of two $50 Montage gift certificates!
Founded in 2004, Willamette Week’s Give!Guide has an overarching mission to instill the annual-giving habit in Portlanders under the age of 36. It’s equally important goal is to raise as much money as possible for, and consciousness about, the 110 fabulous organizations profiled in its pages. And, Milagro is thrilled to be among those 110 select organizations this year!
In addition to the Montage gift certificates offered by Milagro, contributors may also receive special incentives from Willamette Week’s business partners, anything from a coupon good for a cup of your favorite Stumptown joe to a home-delivered package containing wine from the fine folks at A to Z Wineworks and prize-winning oatmeal from Bob’s Red Mill—There’s never been a better time for giving!
Last year Give!Guide raised $1.59 million for 100 nonprofits — $5.3 million since 2004. This year, the goal is to raise $1.75 million, and we are determined to be an essential part of realizing that goal.
The mission of Milagro is to provide extraordinary Latino theatre, culture and arts education experiences for the enrichment of all communities. We want to become a community-centered Latino arts epicenter inspiring a new generation of art, artists and patrons from around the world. For nearly 30 years, Milagro has been dedicated to bringing the vibrancy of Latino theatre, culture and arts education to audiences in the Pacific Northwest and across the country. We provide a home for artists and audiences seeking authentic, Latino cultural experiences. We value creativity and diversity; we welcome the risk of experimentation while respecting tradition; we empower our artists to think creatively and act collaboratively; we are often irreverent but never irrelevant. We entertain our audiences; we give them pause to think, feel and imagine; and, through the cultural lens of latinidad, we reflect the full spectrum of humanity. As a proud community leader and thinker, we speak boldly and authoritatively; as imaginative artists, we embrace the colorful and vivacious, the provocative and playful.

“Este lugar tiene algo especial. No es sólo un teatro, es un centro cultural que se hace sentir en Portland.” (“There’s something special about this place—it’s not just a theater, it’s a cultural center that has a real presence in Portland.”) —Maria Lee-Lopez, instructor of Spanish language and culture, Washington State University, Vancouver
Please know that you’re generosity is sincerely appreciated. Because, at the end of the day, Milagro exists for you and because of you.
