On Thursday, Oct. 4, from 6-8 p.m. Milagro is hosting a second beading party at El Centro Milagro in our Zócalo (our community space that is on the corner of SE Stark and SE Sixth) to make Día de los muertos-inspired jewelry (earrings, necklaces and key chains). We are going to be selling these items during Milagro’s show Raíz (our signature Day of the Dead production) and are hoping to make some really lovely items for patrons to purchase as Día de los muertos mementos, with all the money going to support the theatre!
We have all the beads and supplies, we just need your help and creativity to turn it into vibrant, unique jewelry pieces, and to make this project a success! There will be snacks, beverages (wine!), music, and good vibes, so it should be a fun, creative evening.
If you have any jewelry-making knowledge or who are simply crafty (in the creative sense, not the conniving sense…) and would be interested in joining the fun, please RSVP to Development Assistant Emily Wright at emily@milagro.org or 503-236-7253.
