Jessica Stern from BCA & Erin Lucas of CoHo Theatre are happy to announce the formation of an Americans for the Arts local Emerging Leaders Network here in Portland. Officially called Portland Emerging Arts Leaders or PEAL, this group will develop into a resource for emerging arts administrators and artistic professionals, providing networking, professional development, dialogue and engagement among young professionals in the arts and culture community in the Portland Metro area.  This group is designed for those of you, and those working in your organizations who are starting out in their arts careers, or feel they are ‘emerging’ professionals.

PEAL’s first kick-off event is scheduled for May 29 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at The Waypost (3120 N. Williams Ave). It will be a networking event designed to give emerging leaders the opportunity to meet their peers, i.e. fellow development, program, outreach, artistic professionals alike.
